Why do they do this?? It's not Pan Am reborn but a new airline using an old name This often happens but when the name is Pan Am or Braniff they talk about those airlines flying again. Using pic of thes old Pan Am to promote themseleves as a "We're back" is just plain wrong I bet if some creditors approacehd them with unpaid bills they'd suddenly have nothing to do with the old Pan Am. from ;D

I hope they paint them just like in the picture.

Tom, if this is any indication it looks like they will not be using the old livery. I googled the new Pan Am and this is their New Logo. Jesse

Well this took me by surprise. I hope this one lasts long enough for me to fly it.

I kinda like the idea of the old names coming back. It will not bring back the glory days of flying of course. People are just different today. And if were honest not everything was better in the old days I hope the fourth time is the charm for Pan Am. And yes the old paint scheme was definitely one of the prettiest out there. Stefan

LOL don't give my corporate travel department any ideas I do go to Monterrey once or twice a year. (Aside from actual work I have to do there I am simply fascinated by the extremely high percentage of stunningly beautiful women in this one city. ) But the company hopes to return to passenger service as well as cargo at some point if I read this blog correctly. I'm still waiting to see more on this because I can't find any AOC application for them, but suffice it to say, if this Pan Am gets off the ground, it will be the first "upstart" Pan Am. The previous 2 attempts were by the Guilford family, which bought the Pan Am brand from the bankruptcy court shortly after liquidation. As such, they were actually more "restarts" of the airline and not "upstarts".
Until there is actual intelligence on these guys instead of just Press Releases, I'm withholding any additional opinion.
