Hear Florence Foster Jenkins (19 July 1868 - 26 November 1944). She was truly unique and even performed at Carnegie Hall. Here she sings W.A. Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte".
Enjoy, Maarten

The barely-discernable whining noise in the background is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spinning in his grave. Handel once threatened to throw a soprano out of a window - I have often wondered whether she was anything like as bad as FFJ.

Hi,
Gawd.....none of our glasses cracked, thank goodness, but a lot of plaster has fallen down in the sitting room.
I saw in one photo she was termed 'The Nightingale' which seems a harsh comparison with our little feathered friend! who sings like one. She , on the other hand, sounds more like a faulty water pump I once had to fix. No offence intended, luv, but stick to the day-job, please.
