I'd like to see major/international Greek ,Spanish, Swedish, Swiss and Portuguese airports in the 1959-1963 period.

meaning i've got no experience doing sceneries and have limited references of airports in the fifties and sixties, as I'm in my early teens. from where i live (somewhere in Asia), its hard to find good references of these airports in Europe and the West.

From Jesse´s point of view, most people here are "Kids" Wolfgang Right, and all of us kids have got to stick together....Commander31, I started in the real world of flying when I was just a kid too, I was 14 when I began flying. If you really want to master scenery, I would recommend you check into some of the scenery design forums that are on the internet. I know that Flightsim.com has a good scenery forum as does Avsim.com. Those with design experience can give you a lot of guidance but you will need to do the work yourself. Ask yourself if you are trying to start before you actually have the basics. It requires a lot of reading and trying something to see if it works. If it doesn't then start at the beginning again and work in small steps until you really understand what you are doing. Jesse....The Old Kid

Hi, Finding information is the hardest thing to do. Mike spends hours (and sometimes days) searching the web for the smallest crumb of information. Mostly you use Google and Google Images, searching through hundreds of links and pictures. As an example of a search in Google, we'll use Boston Logan airport. Search for: boston airport history logan airport history boston airport logan airport boston logan KBOS history KBOS boston airport postcard KBOS postcard logan airport postcard boston aviation logan aviation boston takeoff boston landing boston aircraft Then repeat these at Google Images. Then go to www.airliners.net and go to their search page. Select the airport (KBOS Boston Logan in our case) in Country/Airport and choose Year (Oldest first) in Sort By. Look at all of those until they built the new terminal (they always do...). Hope this helps,

Try searching EBAY for "airport postcard" and often you will be surprised with what shows up. I am constantly copying and saving JPEGS of these old postcards of airport terminals and such. Many times, I have not found a single photo on the web, but instead have found nice postcard images of what I was looking for. As a bonus, they are in color, so you wont have to guess about what it actually looked like. Also, try looking in Google for postcard collectors/vendors. Often they will have photos of what they are selling, and you can click on them to enlarge them, and then save them to your disk. It was this manner that I found all the necessary postcards of Tempelhof from 1952 to 1962 in order to do my scenery. That is how I discovered that the "Reichsadler" (Reichs eagle) was still on top of the terminal in 1962 (it was later removed at the end of the year for a new radar installation, and sent to the US Military Academy at West Point. In 1985 only the birds head returned to Tempelhof, and there is no mention of what became the body or wings).
