8-)I indicated that I would post the pictures that I took at the Chattanooga, Tn Holiday Inn Choo Choo on the screen shot forum, but since this is not related to flt sim; I am posting them here in the Classic Chat room. The Holiday Inn Choo Choo was built back in 1909 and it was the home of the original Chattanooga Choo Choo, made famous by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra in the movie Sun Valley Sernade. The song took of like a rocket and has been popular ever since. The hotel has three buildings with 353 rooms and it also has parked on the old railroad terminal tracks, 48 cars that have been converted into sleeping rooms; each with queen sized beds and all the amenities of the regular rooms including wifi and dsl. The old engine that you see was the first to use the station back in 1909 and hauled consists between Chattanooga and New york. If you ever get a chance to visit, I can heartily recommend it. Jesse Main Entrance to Hotel Lobby and tracks. This is a view of the rear of the Train Car Sleepers. This is the rear entrance to the terminal This is the famous Diner... Due to lack of space, Reservations are required. Here is the little wood burning engine that started it all. Entrance to the sleeping cars. The impressive Neo Sign at night.
