Well it looks like I might finally have to buy my first PMDG aircraft ever.
Cheers Stefan

Will there be an FS9 version?

No. PMDG stopped supporting FS9 long ago.
BTW, don't expect a huge influx of new lovers of classic airplanes. I'll bet they're going to charge $100+ for it like they've been doing with their other addons.

Having re-read the release, I'll tell you right now that it won't have all working systems.
If you don't have failures, you don't have all the systems modeled, plain and simple. At least with the CalClassic DC-6 and JBK's model, we have failure modes that tells you if you're not "effectively" managing the systems.
If they charge more than $40 for the model, it'll be a ripoff in my mind because they've got a lot of nice looks, but you can't say that it's any better than the Wings of Silver B-377 without Accusim.

I have removed/edited several threads due to not staying on topic. This thread is about the PMDG DC-6B release, nothing else. Please take any criticism of PMDG itself or others to the Chat Forum, if needed.
Thanks,

WOW!!! I thought this was a joke... This is superb! can't wait to have it with or without damage module the propliners are supposed to be flown right, isn't it? ; ) CalClassics, JustFlight, MJ, JK, A2A, etc, I love them all. And the best part will be tons of liveries! Just a thought of one really propliner's addict. Alex

This is quite unexpected. Didn't ever think of PMDG working on classic propliner. As a fan of PMDG's Mordernliners, looking foward this one too. Pity that it's based on FSX as I don't run it on my computer. But Tom's DC-6 is just better for FS2004. regards, Dennis

It looks very nice but I will stick with FS2004 CalClassic ships. I have FSX but rarely use it anymore.

I don't think so much of it. Something about the shape of it does not look exactly right.

The only thing I noticed is that it seems to sit a bit high on its landing gear?
