Great video . I especially liked your approach to 17 in Danang . We were in the lower right hand corner looking down 17. VMF-235 , a F8 Crusader squadron (USMC). Love the "Herk" . Retired from the USAF Reserves in 95 and have flown in quite a few 130's .

Thanks, Hy. Enjoyed that clip. We really depended on the old Herk up on the Greenland Ice cap. Without those daily flights up from Sondrestrom, we would have been up the well known creek without the proverbial paddle. It was a great flight. Climb to 10K and then settle down to a 500 ft AGL level and skim across the ice following the black center line flags for a visual on to 9/27. Gotta love those ski birds out of Dyess. Each of the birds carried four 3000 gallon bladder tanks with diesel. Took about an hour to pump them from the birds to our 50,000 Gallon tanks buried 50 ft in the ice.
