This is the blurb I made for the first Episode of three I will be making on Ala Littoria´s flights in Europe and North Africa. All Freeware as always and all with Scenery, Class and Flight files for FSX. If liked I´ll go on with other 1930s airways all over the planet. I might drop a mission or two in the series so I can use old tunes, radio comments and old time stuff to play during the flights....hope you all enjoy them. www.fsadventuresky.com/deluxeGera

Great. I love flying the SM.73. Flying in the 30's and 40's is so much more interesting. Looking forward to flying in 1936.

Thank you Gentlemen.....The flight (Mission) should be ready in a week or so. You will see some 2D stuff of the period just to give it a taste of Nostalgia ... I have also about 85% done, but in stand-by, four DC-6 and DC-7 flights in the Andes Mountains. Flying from Panama to La Paz, Bolivia (airport at 14,000 ft!) stopping in Quito and Lima......From Lima to Santa Cruz(Bol), and on to the middle of the Jungle, Manaus (Br).....From Manaus to San Salvador (Br) and from Bogota (Col) to The Orinoco River Valley cattle farm......flights like these were common in old jobs coming from American Airliners sold cheap when the jets came on line in the USA. You can just take one and scrape the paint some and join the bad weather and lots of fun down in S.A...... ;D ;D

If he includes a Briefing of the mission, you might be able to fly it manually?

Hi Kikas...ans FS9 users. The Mission will have a detailed Route Map giving Bearings and Distances for all airports and desert airfields so you can fly it in FS9,....I will place FS9 objects at locations that work well in FSX so you guys can enjoy the Mission as a --FS9 Adventure Flight---

May I suggest if one does this flight, will you record a narrative for it and screenshots? I can publish it in the magazine, and give links for more publishment.

What would you need....the flight will be ready in a week or so. I am presently making the Maps for it but still undecided if it will be a "Mission" for FSX. I have now added several objects at airports so FS9 users will basically "see" the same as FSXers....

This looks cool Gera - well done! I'll try this when it comes out for sure!
And btw, it's refreshing to see a harmonious solution to ensure both FS9ers and FSXers can enjoy an addon.
cheers,

Nice to see that the flight seems to like to some of you since I understand that most here fly in FS9....I would like for some (2 at least) of you to give it a "try" and let me know what "situations" you find that should be corrected, if possible, before it goes public. I have not found too many "objects" that, I in FSX, can see and use. That makes it little "bare" for the FS9 user. I have a technique for making "dirt and grass" airfields that am sure will not show up in FS9, so the pilot will have to look closely for the airport in order to land at those places. I will try to find a solution for this. I desided that I would not use the "defaiult" airports in Africa since they are way out of what the "airfields" of the era were!!! so I made new locations in those places, but the FS9 user can use the default ones if desired. ......anyway here are a few shots of how the flight is evolving: The Terminal at Benghazi, notice the nostalgic black and white group picniking at the field in order to "watch the aeroplane coming from the motherland with the mail".. ;D ;D Can you imagine the pilot finding one of these sand storms in the middle of the desert?? An airfield on a hill, get ready for landing folks!!!! Finally Asmara!!!...here am deleting the long jet tarmac and leaving only the old one. Hopefully it will be finished this month...
