... ours, not theirs, though...
Hi all,
I got an e-mail from Lufthansa Technical Training a couple of days ago, that reads:
"Hello gentlemen,
good news, everything is running now.
... [technical details omitted] ...
Thank you very much for your help and assistance.
And a special thanks from our SuperStar trainers (average age 70), they are very impressed of your detailed work.
Best regards ..."
The story behind is, that Lufthansa approached us (Manfred, who relayed it on) and asked us for permission to use the Starliner sim package as a part of the training of their future real-life Flight Engineers.
Our reply was the obivous one: "Of course, but with additional technical information, we can make it even better." The upgraded fuel dump system was one of the results.
Of course, we're happy to be able to be part of this major project, even if it is just a small part. But every bit is needed to get one of the planes back into the air, I guess. At the same time, I'd like to thank all of you in the CalClassic Community for your interest in these planes, which kept us going as well.
Best regards, Volker

This just makes this "game" all the more worthwhile, doesn't it?

I think the announcement was only the SIM at this point, so no need to run to Maine just yet and stand at the end of the runway to see the Super-Star take to the skies again. I think that is still a tiny bit off ;D ;D
I know that is what Volker meant with "ours not theirs" ... just wanted to clarify.
Cheers Stefan

WOW! That is quite the compliment. This says a lot about your teams' work on this project and flight sim in general. Maybe we can call flying the Connie a Flight Experience.

That is awesome news! Who knew that Manfred and his team would actually help a real Connie?
