Singapore Noodles isn't a soup dish. It's a spicy noodle dish with various vegies, etc. There's a sauce element to it, but it's not soupy.
Tom, you're right about a spoon being way down the list of efficient eating tools in this case, but, clumsy or not, Ray managed to scoop up more with that spoon than I could pick up with chopsticks.
This sounds like it was an eating contest. Not so, although Ray does manage to shovel the chow in. I'm pretty sure he never needed any parental commands to clean his plate.
It really wasn't a big deal, but it came to mind after the posts about chopstick usage.

Taking the granddaughter on her first airplane ride-Memphis- Muscle Shoals, Alabama July 24, 2011. Not an old propliner but a propliner nonetheless (The Saab 340s will be retired by Sept. 3) Gary Attachments:

Hi Gary, did your grandaugther enjoy her first airplane ride? By the way how much did they charge for the Teddy bear?
Grandkids are just great, but alas, they sure grow up fast.
Nice seeing you.

Actually, the teddy bear was a stowaway in Alyssa's purse and got his first ride absolutely free! Alyssa thought she and Papa were going to drive to MSL. Wish I had a picture of her face when I told her she was going to fly. She loved flying and thought the view at 10,000 ft above the clouds was beautiful! Two weeks later, I took my grandson on his first ride-same Saab same destination. Both were loaded down with cookies and a pair of wings compliments of the flight attendant (stewardess) Gary Attachments:

This is a picture from around mid-2010. It was taken about 5 minutes before we left to head out for church. The picture hanging on the wall behind me is a flag from my stepdaughter that is dedicated to me and my wife (her mother). She was deployed in Afghanistan @ Bagram AB and had it sent to us. It was apparently flown during a combat mission on an Apache helicopter. Unfortunately I don't have any current pictures that are more recent. Attachments:
