Hey, does this count? I have a 1966 Ford pickup that has been in the family for 46 years. And still runs great! In the Service I had a 66 Ford 1/2 ton Short box with a 390 CID, 3/4 cam, headers, dual Thrush exhaust, Hurst 4 speed and a Holley Double pumper Carb...... Man that was a fast truck. You watched the speedometer go-up and the gas gauge go-down. I think how I used cuss about the gas being $0.41.9 a gallon for ethyl. Now I drive a beater Buick Century LSI. The Other Stef

I don't just love airplanes, but anything vintage from around the 1950's. My Dad doesn't disagree either. He and I are best friends. This is us in April on one of our Special Trips. This particular derelict of a road is exactly what the sign says it is. This particular piece was probably abandoned around the 1970's after Interstate 40 rudely came in and destroyed the old road. I know the picture's time stamp says 2009, but this is April 2012.

How strange, when we had the convairs and the douglas aircraft, hehe couldn't wait to get our hands on the new jets. Well, that was over 50 years ago. Wow! time sure flys!

Hi, Thought you might want to see me during my trip a week ago up to Northern California. I was up there to attend a well known railroad slide show in Stockton, called Winterail. There were about 700 people in the theater for the multimedia shows, and another 500 or so for the railroadiana show. A very big event. This was its 35th anniversary show. The show was on Saturday, but we went up the Feather River Canyon on Friday (in the Sierra Nevada mountains east of Oroville, northeast of Sacramento). Only saw two trains, but it was fun. The photo was taken at Sloat (east of Quincy and west of Portola), the spot where a big group of us used to camp each summer. It was called Fry Your Ass, our mascot being Donkey Hody (think famous literature set in Spain). The logo was a donkey sitting in a frying pan. We had T-shirts for each year and everything. The tracks in the background are ex-WP (now UP). And yes, that is snow on the ground. We even had a snow shower while we were there. Thanks to Jeff Moore for the pic! Take care,

I love what you've done with your bark. Who's the guy standing next to you? Sorry. Sorry. Couldn't resist. I love the smile of a man who's on vacation, with no worries in the world.

Getting ready to fly an Apache. This one actually. But now that plane is grounded, and the airfield I took that at has closed. That was 2008... Just shoot me.

Hello Everyone, This is an Introduce Yourself/Selfie post from me. My Name is Mike. I am a big fan of Piston powered aircraft, a love which has been spawned from Ice Pilots NWT (I run an unofficial fan site!) I am also a flight sim fan, recently purchased FSX and have done about 15 hours of flight time on there. I This is a photograph of my Wife and I on our Honeymoon this year:
