I recently got some scenery and the airport had no afcad attached so I could use ai aircraft, I created an afcad and put in parking etc, but when I went to look it had trees on taxiways, on the original scenery there are not there. There is a flatten instruction with the original scenery but it doesn't work on the afcad, if I remove the afcad the trees are gone, is there a simple answer or do I need to do an exclude?

I have no idea why adding an AFCAD should bring the trees back, but you can remove them with a program called ExcBuilder2. When using the program, in FS go into slew mode (Y), overhead view (Ctrl-S), and press the space bar to point north. Then move to the upper left corner and press the two buttons in ExcBuilder in the upper left. Then move to the lower right corner and press the other two buttons. Select what you want to exclude (Exclude All for autogen trees and buildings), press the upper large button to generate the XML, and press the lower large button to create the BGL file. Move the resulting BGL file into your scenery folder.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Tom,
I thought it might involve an exclude, I tried that program once but it never worked for me but looking at your instructions I'm sure now I missed something out, I'll give it another go, this time I may be lucky.

Downloaded ExcBuilder2, got a message saying error with comdlg32.ocx, I rectified that with a registry clean. Went to FS did as you said above then activated the ExcBuilder then got a message asking where the BGLcomp file was, directed it to the location, activated the builder again then got a message saying error communicating with FSconnect, I looked in the modules folder and it isn't there, any clues please?
Ignore above:
I got it working, a kind memeber sent me the FSconnect.dll and it worked. First time ever I've done an exclude ;D

Hi, Glad to hear it! You can't stop at just one - I must have done over a hundred by now...

Thank you again Tom,
I tried out the afcad and that worked fine but I was pleased I got rid of those trees and weeds that were dotted about.
