Most of us remember it. The Radio Flyer. The little red wagon many of us had as kids. I had one. I used to help mom bring groceries back from the store with and wore out my shoes using them as brakes as I coasted down the hills of San Francisco where I grew up.
Well, as I saw on CNN last night, the people who make the little red wagon are udating it. It's not going to be simply a box on wheels with a handle up front anymore. The new one will have modern sculptured look with two tandem seats. It will have a digital speedometer and clock (they didn't say anything about a GPS) and a place to plug in your blackberry and cell phone. The only thing left from the original little red wagon is the handle bar in the front.
As time goes on I feel more and more like a Flintsone living in a Jetson world. Maybe that's why I spend more and more time in my California Classic world of 60 years ago on my flight simulator as I enter my 75th year.

I too had a Little Red Wagon. Made by the Racine Wagon Co. The memory I have of it was lugging heavy milk cans in from the barn to the milk house, before we got our first Surge Milking Machine, then it pumped the milk out the holding tanks in the milk house. Also I used to pull it behind me as I peddled my 3 wheeled John Deere "Model T" trike. My Bro had a wooden sided "Radio Flyer" and it rolled so much better.... Yes Good Times.
