Just flown BOAC 371/2 into and out of SBRJ on the 1953 time-table. Phew…spectacular doesn't begin to describe it! Thanks, Tom, for back-dating the airport. Now, we just need a few more South American destinations…SCTI would be particularly welcome…as would SBSP.

No. AFAIK the first jets were 737-300s and later. The first one landed on a demonstration flight in 1985, and the Brazilian airlines starting using them either in the late 1980s or early 1990s, as the VARIG Electras were being phased out.

I just wanted to announce that I have repaired some of the faults of this scenery. The terminal had texture issues in that some polygons were not mapped correctly, and others were not mapped at all. Also the terminal had blurry issues. I have fixed all of that by loading the terminal into GMAX and then exporting it back into the scenery.
I have also removed the duplicate bushes and mail boxes in front of the terminal and lowered the large bushes down to ground level which were originally floating in mid air.
I also fixed the blurry issues of Ilha de Cobra (that white castle like thing you see on approach)and the missing sea walls by loading into GMAX and then reexporting it back into the scenery.
Tom and I have both tested these changes and the blurries and other issues have been eliminated.
You can download the CC update from the link this thread and overwrite the bgl files. No changes have been made to any textures.
