I was disappointed that the A2A Strat wasn't being offered for FS9, however I can console myself with our really good freeware one. If we didn't have the quality 377, I would be pretty disappointed.

Hi! Thanks for showing us that the version for FS2004, freeware, is still better than the payware one for that thingy!! ;D Jean So, when do you upgrade to FS9? Soft landings!

You can beat it for eye candy, I agree. That's what MS put all their work into. But what improvements in the AI and ATC do you have? What improvements to the flight model? (the base sim). None...
The no seam 377 MDL files are available at AVSIM.

Hi Jean, Very nices shots of FSX. I'm not into the FSX versus Fs9 argument that I see at many forums, for I feel there is a place for both. I got FSX the very first day, and off my drive the next day. We all like the eye candy, including me. Personally, I did not need elephants and birds and so on, but what I wanted was a better ATC and Ai enviroment. With that said, here are 4 screenshots in my sim. For it being Fs9, its pretty close as to what I see in FSX minus elephants birds and so on. With a good terrain mesh, photoreal scenery, GE Pro, good water textures and all the sceneries with many being freeware, I can safely say that this why many are still with Fs9. It will be a long time before Fs9 leaves my drive. Besides, only in Fs9 do we have all the wonderful retro airports to fly too. :DBeautiful shots, Frank. I too have FSX but never fly it. I bought it the first day it was available, but only to add to my collection of flightsim programs. I'll be on fs9 until the computer melts. ;D I also bought the A2A B-377, but all those vertical shaded lines running up the fuse bother me.

Nice pics to be sure but I'm largely indifferent to eye candy for its own sake. Although I have only purchased a handful of payware aircraft, I have been roundly disappointed by all of them, without exception. Also have no time for the ongoing FS9/FSX battle, we like what we like because we like it and there's no need for some of the acrimony and personal attacks you read sometimes. If I want to see the "real" world, I'll look out a window. Best Regards Chris Edit - Have to add that in my opinion, the efforts and skills of the re-painters and scenery wizards around here really do produce exquisite work and sometimes you read comments where an author will apologize for texture lines or using generic buildings. I generally never notice and figure stuff like that is like a crooked candle on a birthday cake, lost in the magnificence of the work. Sorry for running off at the keyboard and a big Thanks to all the FS9 Artiste's out there.
