Hi,
I read in main page of CalClassic site, than, aircrafts are not compatible with P3D V3.x, so i want to share my "tip" to make it works.
as i use 90% of my time only P3D, i want to share, that, most of cc aircrafts, i tested, work OK on P3D and on last version V3.x
There are one gauge, that must be removed: CC_Engine_Control.gau, doing that, compatibility is normally OK.
Most of FS2004 aircrafts, (work ok on P3D anyway), but if you can get a FSX port-over, is better.
After, that depend, on quality of texturing and virtual cockpit, some aircrafts, look better, and others, less better, but i not
detected, another problems. I must use FS2004 version of some aircrafts, when i not found FSX/P3D versions, until now, i not have
a lot of problems.
(I use Convair, Caravelles, Connies)
also Traffic AI, from Calclassic, once recompiled in FSX format, work ok on P3D, all ai aircrafts, work ok without problems
Scenerys, is sadly another history, a 100% conversion to (at least), FSX .bgl is necessary, to see them on P3D V3
I quickly converted (for the moment for personal use only), some of the airports i use to land from Central Europe 1960.
The process, can be done, with 3 free softwares:
1) ADE to open FS2004 AFCAD BGL, and recompile it on P3D AFCAD .bgl (some work usually need here, to add remove some excludes)
2) ModelConverterX, to convert all the librarys .bgl, (textures must be converted to .dds, it's better but not obligatory)
3) SbuilderX 3.13, to make some adjustement on CVX if is needed (because default FSX/P3D it's more accurate than default FS9 scenery)
