Hi all, I'm posting for the first time for quite a long time. That because I finally switched to P3Dv3 and I am very happy about it and I am seriously thinking about buying A2A classics airliners, especially the L-049 that just has been released a few days ago. My only regret is that I don't have any old AI traffic or vintage scenery, thus I was wondering if there was any change to make them work on P3Dv3? I remember it's been asked several time already but I didn't feel concerned at that time and my searches didn't give any answer. Thanks by advance for your help

Thank you much Tom,
Very good to know, I saw that Alejandro did some conversions already. If I understand correctly it just needs to be converted through ModelConverterX, but will that work with all sceneries like 1960 Pacific Northwest package?

Yes it should, combined with using ADE to replace any VTP terrain with FSX style terrain polygons. These BGL files typically have the word background in them.

Thank you Tom, Thus I should not have to convert anything using ADE for the Pacific northwest package as I don't see any BGL containing "VTP" in their name. For the other sceneries I don't have any knowledge in ADE but I will take a look on how to do so. One other thing I am wondering: should I enable the Calclassic landclass in FSX/P3D when I have all the FTX Global products? (Global, vector and openLC). After a lot of readings I think it won't be easy to get all of this working on P3D, I still have my old but gold vintage FS9 but it would be a pity not to enjoy A2A propliners with classic sceneries. I hope one day we will have the opportunity to get a recent simulator with the same immersion level we could have with FS2004 for "vintage flying". Thanks for your help

Hi,
No, those files have "background" in their name, not VTP.
In most cases the landclass files backdate the cities to the smaller sizes of the 1960s.

Hi
for ai calclassic aircrafts you must just compile again with ai traffic tool but in fsx formzt no change to aircrafts needed send me a pm i send you the link for the compiled file
they work great on P3D
2) for the ftx things no problems with global and openlc europe
a make new layers on openlc layers on Lyon for example to reduce city size
all this is possible with SbuilderX
i post in the forum the whole conversion method please look on my threads or mail me if you need more detail
