Hi all,
I thought I would try a poll, since that's a new feature of this forum.
I would vote for Yes, with > 800 pixels allowed. This will make the forum somewhat annoying for those with low screen resolutions though. It will also be "one more forum" for people to sift through.
Please vote!

Hi Tom, I've noticed that many of the payware sites have this section as a seperate group. The other route would be like "The Old Hangar", where a thread that seems to be an interesting topic just ends up being just screenshots, followed by 6 or so impressed people (not that there's anything wrong with that, I've done it too), but followed by NO discussion whatsoever. ..so I opt for a seperate section for those. Yours,

I'm a big fan of screenshots! I say go for it. Sometimes its nice to just "look"
We all learn stuff by seeing how others fly or set up their sim also. On top of that, its also a way to learn about new and well done free and payware.

Hi all, it's a guarded "yes" from me. Maybe the size restriction is the way to do it, or a limit of one pic per post.

Same here...I know I have nearly four thousand screenshots and out of them I would be lucky to find a dozen that "really say it all". So, yes, a bigger space for the fluke shots that really showcase a developer's scenery and/or aircraft. Only one pic per post. Minimal text, just credits for the developer(s). Any related discussion to be in a separate thread - I don't have the fastest downlink in the world, and it is a real pain having to wait for the same ten image files to come in when all I want to do is keep track of the thread which was sparked by the original post. Chaws up a lot of bandwidth allowance, too Cheers MikeW

How about two posts - i.e. Chico Airshow and Chico Airshow Discussion. The original poster should create both posts at the same time - the images in the first post and a description of the images in the second post. All further discussion in the second post (I will lock the first post).
The only problem with this system is that the two posts will soon move away from each other, with one being posted to and the other not.
Any maximum to the number of images in a given thread? (i.e. the first post above).

How about, the original poster creates the discussion thread first, then posts the pic(s), including a link to the discussion? Tom does too much for us already MikeW

Hi Gang,
Whatever form this proposal takes, it will be welcomed. I collect screenies, a historical view point of the many facets of this addictive hobby.

OK, it's open. Make sure you read the rules in the Welcome post before posting your images.
Looking forward to them!
