Hi! I don't know about the wheel shine you guys are mentioning.. I'm not getting anything worth modifying. HOWEVER, it made me remember an early problem already corrected in my model you guys probably have not noticed, this is the wheel animations... the wheels roll only at high speeds, although slow turning wheel animation was not implemented, at least now wheels move when they have to. Also a there was a problem with the front door opening, by a programming error even Libardo can't solve, sometimes the CTRL+E command works erratically along with the stairs, once opened you cant retract the stairs or close the door... I've solved it by using the Georg Aubele door control gauge... Im currently traveling but as soon as I'm back I'll try to upload the model. sadly it weights more than 100 mb and the upload method flightsim.com is using is really complicated for big uploads. stay tuned Rodolfo

Hi, The problem with opening/closing the door is not in the model, but with the panel. Fraser's panels all do this. As you say, a door gauge is a workaround. Here is the shine on the tires - this can be eliminated by making the Specular color black in the tire material in GMAX. To see this yourself, set the time for around 4 pm in the summer, go into slew mode, and spin the model around. The shine will move around the tires. Hope this helps,

I've downloaded both the a/c, from calclassic and from simviation. A couple of questions:
1) the calclassic install shows the same a/c from originally- Western , etc. The C/x86/Microsoft Games/fs9/aircraft folder shgows the Guzman folders, but what di I need to do to select one of them?
2) the calclassic has the "how to" when the a/c is loaded, press f10. How can I copy this in order to study it? Is that possible?
Both a/c, although different, look really nice! Thanks! lr.

In the Calclassic download, the Guzman L-188A is an Eastern Airlines 1959 livery, while the L-188C is a KLM 1959 livery. You can find these planes in the L-188A Electra LG and L-188C Electra LG folders.
The "how to" you see in my downloads are due to the line below in the livery sections of the aircraft.cfg file:
kb_reference=FS9L188_ref
and the presence of the FS9L188_ref.htm file in the same folder as the plane's aircraft.cfg file.
Hope this helps,

It's now also available in my L-188 Electra Base Pack. Tom, Sorry to bring up this very old thread but I do not see Rodolfo Estrella's modified base package on CalClassics' official download center. Rodolfo, Since you said you uploaded the base package without panels, will KBT panel work with your modified base package? Regards, Aharon

Rodolfo,
How did you get passenger window view of propellers? I do not have that in your modified year 2015 model base?

Aharon

Hi,
The improved MDL files are present in my Electra Base Pack; I never said the entire package was available via my site. I offer an alternative panel and flight dynamics.

Aharon, if you look at the bottom of the aircraft.cfg file of the download linked in this thread, you will see Camera Definition sections that will give those views.
Hope this helps,

Aharon, if you look at the bottom of the aircraft.cfg file of the download linked in this thread, you will see Camera Definition sections that will give those views. Yeah I already looked at the list of camera definition sections in that cfg field and the passenger window view showing view of propellers like in the video is not in the list of camera definition sections. That is what get me stumped and baffled. Regards, Aharon

You can create your own, if you like. Copy one of those, give it a new title, description, and GUID (just change a few numbers; make sure it's different from the others), then edit this line:
InitialXyz = -1.5, 0.5, -1
the numbers are left/right, up/down, forward/back.
Just edit the last value until you are facing the props. If you need to move forward edit it to something like -5.
You can also change the view angle editing this line:
InitialPbh = 0, 0, 270
This says you are facing to the left (270 degrees).
Hope this helps,

Tom,
No offense but I do not understand this programming stuff. I am just merely simple screenshot artist.
All I want is cool looking passenger window view showing engines and outside like you see in that video in that thread.
Smiling

Aharon
