Hi, Nice paint! A little history of the N45520, the closest reg number I could find: # Delivered to Lufthansa January 1958 as L1649A D-ALOL # Leased to World Airways October 1962 to February 1964 as N45520 # ... # Restoration began February 1984 and was completed in time for SAA's Open Day on April 30, 1988 # On display at the SAA Museum at Jan Smuts International Airport, Johannesburg in Trek Airways color scheme More details at: www.conniesurvivors.com/ZS-DVJ.htmHope this helps,

I'd like to pass on my sincere appreciation to Manfred Jahn and others for the excellent L-1649 Starliner. In addition, to Bill Tyne and Frank for their work on the oily exhaust textures. I never saw a clean radial engine unless it was in a museum! Finally, thanks to Tom for the history of N45521
