Hi all,
Just wanted to welcome everyone to the new forum. This forum is for members to post their musings, artwork, stories, happenings, comments about current day simming - anything that doesn't fit the topic of the Classic Discussion Forum.
Note that the conversation here will be given greater latitude than in other forums, so those with sensitive reactions may want to avoid this forum. Note that the Rules Announcement above has been changed to accommodate this forum.
Enjoy!

Hey Tom, In going through some of my parents' attic residents, I came upon an interesting postcard from about 1951. It is a hand colored picture of Candler Field -Atlanta, GA. It has an interesting blurb on the back describing the activities of the airfield which I would be happy to post along with the picture if you think it can be done w/o violating copyright law. The postcard was printed by R. & R. News Co., Atlanta, GA. Credits read "Genuine Curteich (yes, with an "i")-Chicago "C.T. Art-Colortone" Postcard (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.). Thanks, bushp04

Hi,
People are posting images of postcards all the time on other web sites, so I can't think it is a violation (or at least a serious one). After all, these are "public images" - meant to be seen by anyone who reads the card. I would think the violation would be if you tried to sell the images separated from the postcard or use them as new postcards?
Hope this helps,

Thanks for your response, Tom. OK then, I'll get 'er ready to post somewhere like photobucket and put the link up here. Guess it would just be for historical information in case anyone might be interested. It's a shame there's no date on it! Guess you'd have to date it by when stamps were 1 cent! Thanks again. bushp04

How can an 'Agreement' be reviewed by one of the parties.??
A member should be bound by the rules as they stood on the day of joining.

Surely you jest Garry? calclassic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=73There's the agreement. In addition, it can be changed, with or without notice, at the forum owner's discretion. This is standard and is by all means a reasonable practice that not only the forum owner be able to update their rules if things change, but also that the users be required to abide by those rules at all times, regardless of what they were when they joined. This is after all a PRIVATE forum and as such it exists at the owner's sole discretion.

These type of things are very common. For example, a new agreement for your current credit card is in effect as soon as you use it after being notified.
Hope this helps,

Tom:
I am new to the forum. I hope you can help me. I recently upgraded to FSX. I loved the propliners in 2004. I have downloaded the DC-6B from California Classic Propliners. Everything installed but the when you pull up the aircraft, the panel outlines are there, the PropSound is there, but the gauges are black. I loaded the gauges into the FSX Gauge section. Any advice? I've tried follwing the FSX Conversion instructions but I am not doing something right. Thanks for your help. I very much admire your work. Regards. JT.

Hi,
Welcome!
If you are asking a question, it's best to start your own thread (next time). To do that you press the New Thread words at the upper right of each forum listing.
Did you install the plane directly into the main FSX folder, or did you install into a temporary folder and copy the folders over to FSX? If the latter, you apparently copied the gauge's folders incorrectly.
There should be the following folders present:
FSX/Gauges/Z_DC6KM FSX/Gauges/Z_DC6KMTG
There will be XML and BMP files inside each of those. Are they present? Be careful that they are not inside a second Gauges folder, for example.
Hope this helps,

Tom:
Thank you. I retraced my steps with your recommendations and it worked like a dream. The gauges are now present and working perfectly. I will use the tread next time. I appreciate your help.
Regards,
JT

Hi! Tom, did you intend to get rid of the CalClassic domain name or was a case of lost linkages or rearranging of proboards?

Hi,
Proboards moved our forum to another server, and thus the original server-specific links no longer worked. They have always provided a "generic" URL for the forum, and now that address appears to be mandatory.
Hope this helps,
