Did you leave the names $pan1 and $pan2 in the Material Editor, and in the panel.cfg file?

Tom, that was it! Everything works great! One last question, at night the gauge lighting is way to bright where it looks like a bunch of yellow circles on the instrument panel. Any ideas on how to correct this. Again I can’t thank you enough for all the support. Regards,

Hi,
Change the type of emissive texture to ModifyBlendUserControlled in the Material Editor - that worked for me.

Hi guys,
THRILLED TO BITS to see FSX/PD3 conversions of these classics and the ability to enjoy these again now using P3D 64 bit. (P3Dv4.3 in my case).
On the DC-6B - the props completely disappear - no blur - when the engines are started. Otherwise flies normally it seems.
On Manfred's Starliner - the engines start using the FE panel the usual way BUT then the prop blades only slowly and visibly flip around, like when you stop the engines and don't transition to blurred props. Have been adding FSX converted models for use as AI in P3Dv4 and not come across these nits before.
Appreciate any suggested tweaks.
Thanks!

Hi, They work fine in FSX and I don't have P3D, so I can't test any further. For the DC-6 props I would suggest trying to make the blurred prop texture's alpha channel lighter, that should make them more visible. For the Starliner you can try my model, which works fine in FSX: www.calclassic.com/Temp/1649_FSX_MDLs.zipI've also included a new glass.bmp file for the cockpit windows, and an Environment file which can be placed into each livery's texture folder. It works better for me than the default one. Hope this helps,

Well, the alpha channel suggestion and some file swapping sorted out the DC6 props. All is working fine now. Forgot how wonderful your big Doug's are - and how hard they are to get off the ground! Step climbing at the moment . .

This is truly great news. Question on the links in the thread...notice several things have been changed since the links published...if I download from the links will I get all the changes or is their other, more updated links for both of these?
Thanks

Dear Dough
As member of original MJ Connies team- and recent P3DV4.4 user (FSX has blown up-out of memory message cannot be cured ) I am so greatful for your FSX/P3D conversions. Both DC-6B and L-1649 fly seemless in P3D.Just FDE is even more a challenge as the Flight dynamics were altered also in P3D V4.4 ( read doesnt fly any easier- you dont fly by the book you crash)
Thank you
Roland

UPDATE:
DC-6B
In P3D 64 bit (v4.3) the DC-6B model working well however ground objects - chocks, air stairs etc not all showing (using DC-6A paints so forgetting this isn't Tom's freighter model converted - yet!) and the interior textures seem missing.
L-1649 Starliner
All functioning but cannot get blurred props no matter which textures I swap or changes to the alpha channels. The props move but in slow, stilted animation no matter what the throttle settings.
Would like to hear if anyone else is experiencing the above. If not, I'd like to find a solution.
Thanks!
