Hi!
For those who fly in P3D v4: What tools do you use for flight planning?
In FS9 I use FSNav and I'm very happy with it. The same developer has created FSTramp for the newer sims and it's pretty good. At the moment it seems a bit too complicated but I think all it needs is familiarisation. What really grates me is the payment model: you are expected to pay €30 for a year's use, and then pay again, and again, and again. You can pay for a greater period but the fact remains that you keep on paying. The bottom line is that you're not buying the goods, you're only renting them.
Another good alternative is LittleNavMap which does most of what FSNav and FSTramp do. It isn't quite intuitive and will also take a bit familiarisation. It connects to the sim but is a stand-alone program - and it's free... Gratis! The major issue I have with it at the moment is that in order to view and work with it you have to use your mouse and click on the tab in your screens' taskbar which breaks your rhythm a bit.
What alternatives are there?
Oh and does anayone know of a fuel totaliser guage which might work in P3D?
regards Thomas

There are several alternatives to FSNavigator. You have Pro Flight Planner and FS Commander which are payware. For freeware you have Little Nav Map and Plan G. All are quite good. I personally prefer FS Commander and Plan G.
