Hi,
those people want to convert CC scenerys from FS91 to P3DV4, must think about remake the texture of models, if possible, in higher resolution, and with some of the properties that are possible, on Prepar3DV4 SDK. If not, depend on scenery, will look too much "cartoonish", for Prepar3D V4, with the new environmental light system.
It's more a "remake" of the scenery, that a "conversion".
This means, a lot more work...
Again, for perfomance reasons, is better if AFCAD and .bgl are compiled in V4 native format (not FSX format).
For the AI traffic, is also the same, (i have the FTX Australian PR3D4 ai traffic, and is different from FSX native traffic), but FSX native traffic work also.

jacklyon, I am working on straight conversions of several sceneries right now. I agree that compiling for P3Dv4 instead of FSX gives better performance. (FPS) The texturing that you are suggesting would indeed be a Mammoth undertaking. The entire CC scenery library as well as individual library texture sheets would have to be redrawn. My hat is off to anyone that is even willing to try.

Yes, is too much work, so, i think, sceneries will converted without touching textures,, and some ones, will integrate better than others on P3DV4.
For that, one thing is a "conversion" (compile in P3D and do some geomodif work, and excludes if it necessary), and "remake", that is use the FS91 scenery as a base model, but means, to do 80% from scratch.
I not think a lot of people, will do "remakes", (me included), maybe one day for some of my scenerys.
But probably i will try to do in a near future, some conversions.

Hello!
For my favorite route, I needed the airport, which is in the СС. I tried to convert this airport from FSХ to P3D b4. I used the ADE and ModelConverterX programs. And I managed to do it. But my knowledge is very limited. According to this, not everything turned out, as the author did.
For those who will remake the airports of the CalClaccic from FSX to P3D v4, I am ready to help. For example, to recompile textures from .bmp to .dds.
