I am looking to install calclassic scenery into my p3d v4 install, but I have seen some posts saying that it doesn't work in v4. Is what I want to do possible? And also, is the installation process the same as for FSX, or are there some other processes I would have to go through?

I doubt very much that much of the items here will function well in P3D4. There are specific ways of installing items in P3D which avoids contaminating the file structure through he use of XML files. I would refer you to a handy video on that subject here www.youtube.com/watch?v=alwTx5vAhQw&t=934s

OK. I also have FSX, so I will use that instead I guess.

What I did was build my classic environment in FSX, so when I fly in P3D 4.4 I'm flying today, and when I'm in FSX it's 1959.
The contrast in environments is amazing.
I use ORBX FTX and Vector in both, but the landclass only in P3D. This makes for a populated modern world in P3D but wide open spaces and smaller towns and cities in 1959 FSX.
It's pretty believable and immersive for me. I have virtually all the CalClassic scenery and AI installed in FSX now.

Yes, I have ORBX global, OpenLC Europe, and REX 4 so it'll probably look alright, the only concern is storage space really.
