Hi all, Still trying to develop a more reliable way to convert FS2004 aircraft without collapsing the animations (using ModelConverterX), not always an easy thing to do. But during my tests I did manage to get the radar equipped DC-7C into FSX format. If you would like to try it out, it is here: www.calclassic.com/Temp/DC-7C_FSX_MDLs.zipFollow the readme file. Let me know if you see any problems here in this forum thread. Enjoy,

I have now included the non-radar nose version. If you downloaded it before this message was present please download it again if you want that version. Same link.
Hope this helps,

I will give this a go Tom, the DC-7 is the missing part of my Douglas Fleet, I will have to download the base pack again, from memory it worked ok but there were a number of issues with the VC and paints anyway not to prejudge. I will have to do a clean reinstall of the lot first, taking it easy as I go. I guess this is not for the CF model correct?

The models seem to work fine in FSX Tom. I forgot on the reinstall that first I needed to put in the 2004 DC7 model, then the FSX updated 7C then the liveries, panel sound etc. I will spend some time putting it all back together properly in a few days. But no issues with the way they looked or displayed in or out. My issue is the VC panel textures and panel, so it seems I am missing some gauges, probably deleted on a recent clean up. Looks good so far.

Hi Tom,
I'm in the midst of (attempting) a P3Dv4 migration. Not sure how it'll go, but this is a good juncture at which to say thanks for all your conversion efforts. I've enjoyed all the Calclassics addons in FS9 since the fairly early days, and then during FSX, those that worked, provided me much enjoyment.
I expect there will be fewer I can make work in P3D, but my attachment to them will likely spur my efforts to try my hand at converting the ones I really "need". Time will tell how it all pans out, but a big thanks for all the enjoyment thus far yours and the Calclassics has provided over the decade and a half I've enjoyed the various addons.
cheers,
dl

She's a beauty in P3Dv4 Tom! Thanks so much for the conversion. Only had to douse the engine flame effects as they were way too bright in the sim - maybe also with the shaders I'm running. Any chance of the freighter version?!!
