Hi, Since the opinion of the recent poll seems to be that people want only FSX models included in a separate FSX/P3D package, I've put together a zip package that has no FS2004 components at all. There are complete installation instructions of course, but in summary: Install into FSX: Run SetupFSX.exe Do not change anything Complete the installation Fly Install into P3D: Run SetupFSX.exe Press ... button and browse to your main P3D folder Complete the installation Fly Let me know how it works for you here in this thread. The link: www.calclassic.com/files/CV-340_FSX.zipThanks,

PS. If this is successful, the old Base Pack will revert to an FS2004-only installation.

Hi, Test: External and Internal animation, seems to work ok I have the same problem, that i have sometimes, on FS91, that the doors open at 100% and start to close again, not remain open. when y use SHIFT-E once. Second thing i saw, if the trim wheel in the VC cockpit, is static, is ok, but if trim turns in VC, so it's an animation that not work. (i will check on FS91) (this happens also on DC-7C) Other, thing, as for the DC-7C, i feel it, less "sensitive" the flight-dynamics, to the flight controls, that on FS91, (but maybe i remember bad, i will check on FS91 to be sure) Two pictures on P3D45 Attachments:

I confirm (comparing with 340 united for FS91) at same place (NZMC) Mount Cook New Zeland 1) Trim wheel works ok on VC cockpit on FS91 and on P3D4 not 2) Aircraft seems more "powerfull", take off more easy, and flight controls are more dynamics 3) No need to trim the aircraft on FS91 to make it take off, and on P3D4 i must trim a lot +3 if not not take off 4) Engines, not have the "blue/red" detail (see picture) Attachments:

oups, proper got the red/blue colors also on P3D45 (is less strong) (i think for the PBR lighting on engine simulateur), but colors are there Attachments:

I am using FSX Steam edition. The Convair displays and flies perfectly as far as I can tell. I hope that most of the other FS2004 airliners will eventually be similarly converted as well - with a one step Setup_FSX.exe app. I had no luck with the earlier DC7C and Constellation conversions - probably made an installation error or something.

Hi,
I can't help you with the flight dynamics differences, although perhaps an increase in engine power might take care of that? The other things sound somewhat minor, which is good. I'm not surprised that things that require a DLL file (like the panel and brake sounds) don't work, since they depended on the code in FS9 and FSX.
Thanks,

Hi,
I've updated the CV-340 FSX/P3D package (link is the same, above), with some 64 bit gauges that should give you panel clicks and squeaking brakes in P3Dv4 and later. To do this I had to update the fuel dump code in the CV Notepad gauge so you will need to reinstall the updated FSX Base Pack first to give you that, then install the P3D overlay to get the new 64 bit gauges.
BTW, can you check if the supercharger switches work to actually change the manifold pressure? If not I'll need to change the flight dynamics so you'll have more power at altitude.

I have problems, i think, names of sound in KM directory, are not correct (got numbers, not the good names) I wil test others things and give you a feedback. the speedbrake sound it's ok
The supercharger are off by default (in FS91 are on i saw) i can put in on, but not change a lot, 340 on P3D4 feel very heavy (as was another kind of aircraft)
Sorry, i can't help you more with that, i not know nothing in flightdynamics, hope my information is enough.

Hi,
I see what went wrong - the unused wav files are allowed by FSX, but not P3D. Edit the cv340_sound.ini file in the main Gauges folder to look like this:
[Config] MaxSounds=60 Lvar=km_xml_sound_id LvarStop=km_stop_sounds
[Sounds] Sound00=./Sound/km/km_xml_00.wav Sound01=./Sound/km/km_xml_01.wav Sound02=./Sound/km/km_xml_02.wav Sound03=./Sound/km/km_xml_03.wav Sound04=./Sound/km/km_xml_04.wav Sound05=./Sound/km/km_xml_05.wav Sound06=./Sound/km/km_xml_06.wav Sound07=./Sound/km/km_xml_07.wav Sound08=./Sound/km/km_xml_08.wav Sound09=./Sound/km/km_xml_09.wav Sound10=./Sound/km/km_xml_10.wav
Save the file and those messages should go away.
I've updated the download file as well.
Thanks,

Yes it's ok for all sound thanks!
I confirm that superchargers are "high" as in FS91, but in P3D aircrafts seems more heavy, (less powerfull engine?)
Cheers

Do you mean the manifold pressure increases when you throw the supercharger switches?

Hi,
I fixed the trim tab knobs in the VC, they now move with the trim and the mouse. Same link - install the FSX version, and then the P3D overlay if using P3D.
