I am and I am sure others are very grateful for your efforts to allow an increasing number of great airliner models to fly in P3Dv4. Many thanks.

Install the original FS2004 package into P3D, and then copy/paste:
1. The 2 MDL files and the model.cfg file into the model folder. 2. The two texture files into each livery's texture folder.
Hope this helps,

Really appreciated! My last wish is for the Manfred L-759 converted to native FSX that works in P3D4 . .

If I decided to convert a *few* 749 MDL files to FSX format, which ones would you want? I.e the name of the model folders (i.e. model.EAL_A, etc.). I might be willing to do a few if the conversion works (some don't).

If I can humbly request the TWA model, please .... long sleek noses and round engines with spinners are my favourite elements of the whole Connie family....that’d make me very happy.
Thanks for considering - and for whatever you end up doing.

Hi, I just happened to start with that one, since you mentioned it before. Learned a couple new things that I added to the conversion tutorial. Here are the TWA Radar Nose MDL files. Note that this is only the model.TWA_A folder, the "improved" model. Seems to work fine on the TWA N6003C livery. Now includes the EAL non radar model as well. www.calclassic.com/Temp/L749_MDLs.zipEnjoy,

Hi Tom and everyone
I have just installed this Starliner conversion into P3Dv4.5. My findings are: The autopilot is dodgy and doesn't hold a course. It always seems to want to do it's own thing. It does hold altitude and attitude There's a lot of texture bleed-through when in the 2D cockpit and using the FE panel Visually, in spot view on the ground my rudder works fine to the right but to the left it just deflects so far and then jups back to the centred position. My Ailerons do the same thing just up and down My elevators also do the same thing Fuel management doesn't work; my engines just stay Tank to Engine no matter what I do with the levers.
Nevertheless Thank You Tom! for these conversions!

That's the earliest chance I foresee having the quality time to reinstall the models and add the new packs. But I will put this into the sim and advise. Many thanks. dl

Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. Note that I am only doing MDL conversions with these models, the panel and gauge coding of these aircraft is way beyond what I can understand. "My" aircraft are much simpler and typically work OK in P3D. But again, I make no claims that they fly well or that everything works perfectly. I will leave that to others to work out.

I noticed that the nose of the L-749 was not textured correctly. I have fixed that and have updated the external MDL file. Same link.
Hope this helps,

Sorry Tom, only just now see you have kindly gone for the L-749 - much appreciated. In addition to the TWA/radar/spinner, maybe one of the non-radar nosed models (to go with the worn out freighter paints . .). Many thanks again!
