As some of you know, I have rather belatedly switched from FS2004 to FSX-SE. I am getting on very well with it and have found the few insurmountable irritations are outweighed by the advantages.
I now have all of my desired aircraft installed and all are working nicely except one - that is the L-049 Constellation from the CC page. This consistently crashes FSX-SE with a ntdll.dll error immediately after loading the aircraft. Has anybody else experienced this and found the solution?
A look around the web produces a lot of comments about lack of available memory (definitely not the issue here!) and the need to change the uiautomationcore.dll file (tried that, too). Maybe it is something as simple as a change in the settings?
The High Fly Simulation version (which to my eyes is actually the FSDezigns model?) is working perfectly but is unfortunately very limited on liveries outside the USA.
With best regards and thoughts to all,
John

Check to make sure that the following lines in the panel.cfg file are changed:
//gauge00=L49!LeversFuelControl, 38,23,236,144 gauge00=L49!LeversFuelControlModFS9RL11, 38,23,236,144 // for FS9 only
to:
gauge00=L49!LeversFuelControl, 38,23,236,144 //gauge00=L49!LeversFuelControlModFS9RL11, 38,23,236,144 // for FS9 only
and if necessary:
gauge47=L49!LightFire, 213, 653, 23, 23 gauge48=dsd_supercharger!supercharger_transparent, 94,248,20,20
to:
gauge47=L49!LightFire, 213, 653, 23, 23 //gauge48=dsd_supercharger!supercharger_transparent, 94,248,20,20
Also make sure these gauges are not present (any gauge numbers):
gauge66=CC_Engine_Control!Engine_Control, 8,8,5,5 gauge67=CalClassic!ENGINE_AUTOSTART_4, 5,5,11,11 gauge68=CalClassic!AIRCRAFT_RELOAD, 10,10,11,11
Hope this helps,

Glad to help. These crashes are usually in the panels; problems in the model are extremely rare.
