This flight and landing did realy happened. The Mount Aiguille is a famous mountain in the French Alps with a very impressive shape. The French stunt pilot Henri Giraud landed a Piper J-3 Cub on the summit, utilising an 260 ft long and 66 ftcwide runway, which had been built earlier that day using materials and men lifted to the summit by helicopters. I recreated this achievement as AI flight.
In 1960 He aslo was the fist pilot landing on the top of The Mount Blanc, the highest mountain in the European Alps, with a Piper Super Cub. BTW, Giraud's flight instructor was the well known Swiss glacier pilot Hermann Geiger.
