Greetings from a new member to the forum:
I love flying CCs airplanes, one on of my favorites being the Convair 580. In the past I have attempted to add the Nolinor texture designed for the Cal Classic (as well as another cargo texture) to the Cal Classic 580 file using the normal cutting a pasting procedures into the CGF file into any of the following files: the "cv580 file", the "Convair 580F" file, and the :"Convair 580" file.
For example - from the Convair 580 file I have downloaded the CGF files shows:
[fltsim.2]
title=Convair 580 Sierra Pacific
sim=Cv58
model=HD
panel=
sound=
texture=siepac
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=CV580_ref
atc_id_enable=1
atc_id=N90852
ui_manufacturer=Convair
ui_type=580
ui_variation=Sierra Pacific
atc_heavy=0
atc_airline=Sierra Pacific
atc_flight_number=121
prop_anim_ratio=0.9
description=The Convair 580 was a General Motors modification of the existing CV340 and 440 airframes. The 501-D13H engine was flat rated at 3750 shp and max rated at 4000 shp. This 50 passenger airliner can still be found in regular passenger service today.
The add-on from my FSX Nolinor Convair 580 texture I have says:
Repaint of the Cal Classic Convair 580 in Nolinor livery.
Tested with FSX only.
To install, add to cfg (this new texture would now be now be fltsim.3):
[fltsim.x]
title=Convair CV-580 Nolinor
sim=Cv58
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=Nolinor
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=CV580_ref
atc_id_enable=1
atc_id=C-GKFP
ui_manufacturer=Convair
ui_type=CV-580
ui_variation=Nolinor
atc_heavy=0
atc_airline=Nolinor
atc_flight_number=580
prop_anim_ratio=0.9

However it never takes. Do I need to add 'HD' under model for the Nolinor texture as the original above states "model=HD"?
Or is there something I am doing wrong? Please advise.
Thanks, Tom T.
