Finally Manfred Jahn (made a nice freeware C-47 Skytrain for FSX) and me started to work on our Basler BT-67 freeware for FSX. I thought you would be interested in this nice, old airplane, I think there was already a thread about her in this forum Here is a small preview on what happened so far: the Basler about 3 weeks ago: without the tail section and only one engine last weekend (25./27.6.), nearly finished and ready for the alpha test: the engines are missing because Manfred is redesigning them, they have been to inaccurate in his opinion We're still searching for someone doing the VC, Gauges and Flight-dynamics without, the lady won't fly ... and that makes me sad We hope you like it Greetings, Daniel

A shame... hope some day someone will do one for FS9 too, one day. Until then... fair weather and smooth landings.

Looking good already. One thing I have learned working with Manfred on the Connies is that 99% perfect just is not good enough So when it is finally "good enough" it will be stunning, like everything else he has had his hand in. Cheers Stefan

This is really exciting on a personal level. Not long ago we parked along side our local airport and watched a pilot doing touch-and-gos. At the time I had no idea what it was, other than a Basler turbo DC-3/C-47. It's nice to see what you've done. We much have watched for a good 20 minutes. I have seen regular, radial-powered Douglases come into our small airport on rare occasions, really steep final and a good lesson of how to get off the ground when you would like a bit more tarmac under and in front of you than you have! Starting from stopped at the end of the runway, this one comes off the ground like homesick angel ... and once the wheels leave the ground she just FLYS!

Great work! Will there be a Super DC-3 as well?

I don't know. It is at the back of my mind, along with other things... The Basler will take some time before it's fully finished.

Thanks Jan, copied this.
We have already gotten in touch with Basler and Kenn Borek, and Sonic Solutions' inexpensive Twin Otter sound gives just the right drone to the engines.
Anyone have nice high-res detail pics of Thai AF color schemes, apart from what one can find on airliners net etc? Also the spectacular Columbian (?) AF gunship variant?
