Dear fellow classic aviation aficionados,
Should anyone have wondered why I suddenly disappeared from here, it was simply 'life getting in the way'. So many things required or caught my attention since early 2021 that I simply did not get to following this forum, let alone do some sim flying. There was a lot of nuisance from all sorts of sources, nothing grave luckily, and some good things too. Miraculously, hardly any of it was COVID-related at all.

It says enough that I haven't logged a single flight yet on my present pc, that I built over two years ago with FS certainly in mind while determining the specs. At some point, I didn't dare visit this forum anymore, fearing I had gotten too far behind, or things would have changed altogether. Well, yesterday I took the step and the good news is twofold: I have gotten far more behind than I expected and at first glance all of you seem to still be here and going strong.
I am sorry for not following up all this time to promises I made about input on certain topics, of which the self-calculating navlog comes to mind first (as a direct promise). I will try to catch up, hopefully it works this time. It will be a while before I can indulge myself in classic and vintage flying again and I have a lot of reading up to do. Upon first looking around here after so long though, I immediately found myself in this lovely world again where all is good and fascinating. A big thank you to Tom and all of you for sticking around, this is still one of the best places on the internet, ever.
Cheers,
Erik
