Hello everyone. This would be my first thread here at CalClassic so please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a seafarer currently on leave in my home country India. I've been simming on and off since 2009. I was introduced to historic jet aircraft first at Air France Virtual airlines where i later tried my hand with some CalClassic propliners as well. I used to fly mostly historic jets and a few propliner shorthauls with the DC-4, DC-6, DC-7 and the Connie. I even flew JFK-AMS in the DC-7 online on IVAO network using the sextant gauge for position fixing. My job at sea has kept me away from simming nowadays. This is my first propliner flight after 8 years so I'm still catching up with the procedures.
Today I flew a flight from the United 1954 schedule. Here are the pics:
Preflight preparations at Portland (KPDX)
Lining up at the runway. Due to the initial confusion, darkness and the layout, I took off from a runway adjacent to what the ATC assigned me.
Over the Rockies
Into the sunrise
Snake River, Oregon
It was at this point of time I discovered this plane had a VC! Very Happy
Passing the snowline
On approach to Denver runway 26 (KDEN)
Caught on final
Taxiing to gate This was a refresher flight for me regarding propliner operations. Hopefully I find time to fly more flights and share them with you all.
