Hi,
Great feedback, many thanks, all points noted and will be seen to in the next release (the 'H), and this time it won't be long.
Lovely screenshots as always, Jean (please check your PM).

Tim : Awesome repaint of the best looking LH airplane...I'll be in line for getting that one.
Bernardo: Follow the install instructions in the readme by Manfred but do NOT skip the step on copying the sound files into the MAIN FS sound folder. That's where the flap call wave files needs to be and it can't be just any file. The call happens going down to 60 (not yet on the way back up)
And 10 degree on the cowl flaps is the minimum drag configuration. This lets the air coming in on the front of the engine out without creating additional drag by sheet metal sticking into the slip stream. 0 degrees traps the air and creates a bit of drag.

Was wondering if anyone had thought of doing a later Eastern livery. Really like those two-toned blue stripes. Moses

I was actually wondering about a thread titled something like: "What to do with your new Super Constellation?" Best regards, Volker

Hi, Great feedback, many thanks, all points noted and will be seen to in the next release (the 'H), and this time it won't be long. Lovely screenshots as always, Jean (please check your PM). Manfred Can I ask the difference between the G and the H? My googling skills seem out of date as I'm having a hard time finding a clear explanation. I think the primary difference I've found so far is that the H primarily was a cargo carrier? EDIT: nevermind, found the information right here at CalClassic, thanks Mr. Boehme! "L-1049G: Optional weather radar and wing tip tanks. Tanks Navy style with blunt forward and pointed rear end. If tanks are not fitted, difference to C/E might be hard to spot. Slight change in engine shrouding: Behind the spinner, the engine center is shrouded by an almost bowl-like part that extends further outward than the spinner. Earlier versions had a cylindrical part with a diameter identical to the spinner. Appears to still have 3250 hp engines, but sources differ. L-1049H: Cargo/Convertible version of L-1049G, 2 cargo doors, otherwise identical. Last aircraft delivered 7 August 1959, the last Constellation to be delivered. "

Just downloaded Tim's Northwest repaint. From what I can find out, NWA only used these for a brief time - from 1955 to 1957, when they appear to have been replaced by DC-7C's. Can anyone confirm this. Also, does anyone know if they were only used on overseas routes or did they also wind up on domestic routes.
Thanks to all who put in so much effort on this - great job that's greatly appreciated!

Pan Am used L-049 models, which has already been produced by FSDzigns. They also had a few L-749's.
There was also a Super Connie leased for less than a year (but painted in PAA old colors), but I have forgotten the model.
Hope this helps,

Hey ejoiner,
Thanks for the comeback and help with my little problem with the Eastern texture. Evidently, when the aircraft was loaded it dropped one of the model file, re-loaded and bingo. Again thanks

I don't know what they replaced them with but, yes, likely DC7Cs. Northwest bought 6 "Gs" but only took delivery of 3 - during April, 1955. Those 3 were sold by August 31, 1957 to Linea Aeropostal Venezolana.
