Just installed "Dutchs-Classic-Piedmont- Airports" into both FSX and FS9. Some of the airports in the FS9 install still show the default terminals and other buildings. How can I exclude the files for these in order to show only the classic buildings ?
TIA, again the new tricks / old dogs thing.

If you know ADE (Airport Design Editor) you can create an exclude polygon (button with a yellow square on it). Draw the polygon, choose Generic Buildings and Library Objects, and click OK. File/Save Airport to the ADE Projects folder for later editing if needed, and File/Compile Airport to create the BGL files. If the exclude is all you’ve done you can delete the main ADE BGL file and keep only the exclude. It should be placed into the same folder as the Piedmont Airports BGL files.
I often use excBuilder2 for this when I need a quick exclude file. It’s not tied to any specific airport and it’s pretty easy. I can give more details for both of these if needed.

An other option might be Flight 1's Instant Scenery 3 with its WYSIWYG interface. Some further steps mentioned by Tom aren't necessary. It makes excluding more simple, and in some cases it even could be done "surgically".

I use that too, but I’ve used the others for so long I’m more comfortable with them. 😁

Yeah, those processes are pretty much beyond me. Been using FSX in the classic era and those files seem to work just fine in that instance.
I certainly appreciate the help and input though.
