This picture shows a couple of USAF aircraft displaid at Edwards AB in 1957. (source Wikipedia) I tried to recreate it as well as possible. Not so easy as it seeems to be. It needed an AFcad for each aircraft to place them correctly. It wasn't possible using simply ATC parking codes. Bernard

Wow, beautiful job. Interesting that they put the B-36 in the center and the B-52 off to the side.

The US certainly had an incredible cross section of aircraft in its inventory.

True, and they didn’t include MATS aircraft in that display. That would add even more.

True, and they didn’t include MATS aircraft in that display. That would add even more. Hard to believe, but the C-130's were first "fielded" to the "Troop Carrier Command" which was separate from MATS. I think the C-97 and the C-123 may have been SAC support, while the Connie may have been with an intel unit and the RB-50 may have been with the Weather Service? The Grumman at the right and the Sikorsky helo seem to have "rescue" bands on the fuselages near the tail. Very impressive indeed, Bernard, especially since you said you had to make several AFCAD's to do it! Jorge Miami, FL

I could clarify that as MATS transport aircraft.

As always, I have to deal with what is available. Otherwise I can forget it from the start!
