A while ago, I discovered I never properly installed this very nice traffic add-on, available on the CC AI Aircraft page, file downloaded is GA592K4_calclassic.zip. Because I never did, I lacked most of the required GA planes as well. The aircraft download list included with the traffic package nicely gives direct download links for the CC Traffic packages that contain the planes and file names for third party additions, mostly at Flightsim.com. However, the powers that be gave that site a thorough make-over as most folks here will be aware...
Searching a file directly is NOT possible anymore on Flightsim. One can only search for a 'post' - the short description with thumbnail for the file, now forced into a forum environment - that contains the only download link to that file. Moreover, even searching with the correct terms/keywords for a known post title will not always find that post. Long story short: it took me quite some time to find the files from the download list. In the end though, everything turned out to be still available after all these years and I though I'd share my findings here.
Below are the links to the GA planes' present download locations, in order of the list in the package and with a little description added. Note please that:
- I looked nowhere else if I could find them at Flightsim, and
- I skip the planes here that are included in the CC Traffic packages, all available via Tom's page mentioned above.
The latter are the ones with (now defunct) links given like www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=search&fsec=0&fname=ai2k47_calclassic2.zip where ai2k47_calclassic2 indicates that would be AI (FS)2004 File Seven version two, and so on.
Douglas DC-3
-> The default FS9 DC-3 is used to create new AI versions. The aircraft.cfg supplied for this addition, containing the [fltsim.n] entries for DC-3 CC1 to CC4, has 'model=novc' to reference the model. I had to edit that to read just 'model= ' in order to use the default one, as I do not have a 'novc' model.
