Just downloaded and installed the scenery for Kingston, Jamaica. The entire ramp area is shown as grass. Taxiway markings and oil spots are there but the paved ares are grass. Anyone else have this problem? Did I miss something in the installation? Any suggestions?

That is how it was. Look at the John Hewson album amd you will see it. I think the instructions say that the attempt is to produce the airport as it looked in a photo of 1958. They were about to build concrete aprons, of course. Ken

Mike, As a result of your post it has been suggested to me that I erred in representing the Kingston parking area as grass rather than asphalt. Making back-dated sceneries is always likely to be tricky because the photographic evidence either doesn't exist or is sometimes difficult to interpret because it is of poor resolution. However, having looked again at the 1958 photograph I still think that the likelihood that one is looking at grass with some heavy oil stains is greater than the likelihood that the surface was asphalt. Moreover. despite the extent of the changes which have taken place since, the southern parts of Runway 14-32 are still visible on Google Earth, and the adjacent areas on both sides appear to be grass. At any rate, your original question was whether you had installed the scenery properly and to that a definite answer can be given. You did. Ken
