Hi all,
After many years of faultless service, including with W10 in recent years, SBuilder has stopped loading and I get a message "Run-time error 53, file not found". I've tried re-downloading but no change.
Anyone else found this? I'm wondering if it's down to some W10 update.

I don't know, but probably. GMAX can no longer compile my DC-6B models, and I've made no changes. And this is Win 7.

I am still using the FSX version without issues in Win 11.

Does it list the file that is not found in the error message? That is a standard SBuilder error when it can't find a needed file. My guess is that Windows has removed a required Windows DLL file or updated it to an incompatible version. SBuilder uses Virtual Basic, so it might be one of those DLL files.

Thanks Tom and it's working again. It was a path issue. I copied it over again from my XP machine and thought I had corrected the paths using the folder choices in "Preferences" but oddly there are other paths that can only be set by manually editing the .ini.
