I don't want to get involved in Biggiraffe's post exchange on the subject of terrain issue at his Sky Sailing Airfield. But out of pure curiosity about what the airfield could look like, I built it based on the descriptions in Freeman's well-known website "Abandoned & Little-Known Airfields". Using different terrain add-ons creates different results. Bernard

That is way cool, Bernard!
Sky Sailing used the shorter runway, on the left in your screenshot, and the Fremont Drag Strip used the longer runway. There were trees dividing the two areas (about halfway between the Sky Sailing runway and the drag strip). Clock your hangar building so it is parallel to the runway, and slightly closer.
And, if you found some glider trailers, they would be side-by-side toward this end of the runway, still on the hangar side. Also, some gliders were tied on the opposite side of the runway, facing the hangar. They were also side-by side.
Somewhere, I have old photos from Sky Sailing and I need to find them!
As I said, WAY cool! Kurt

I in no way claim to represent the airport absolutely truthfully. The few images available are not particularly helpful. For me it was more about showing the different terrain representation. A simple default terrain is sometimes easier to handle than a very detailed and addon based one.

What you did looks a whole lot better for older times than the existing area in FS2004. Best regards, Kurt
