Have had a strange thing happen. Some scenery that I have installed in the last few days has disappeared from my scenery list. e.g. Al's Toul-Rosieres which I installed a few days ago and flight tested has disappeared.
Hope I haven't clicked on a key accidentally which has caused this. As a test I put a couple back in and went out of FS and when I started up they weren't there. Older installations aren't affected just these ones from the last couple of days.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

How many sceneries do you have installed? I have a lot but don’t know what the limit is. If you install them and restart the sim.you should see the rebuild take places, is that happening?

I believe the limit is over 1000 so it’s probably unlikely you are over the limit. Make sure that your scenery.cfg and fs9.cfg files are not set to read only.

Since I'm running FS9, regularly comes up the question about limit of scenery.cfg. AI's latest release LFQE Etain-Rouvres AB is aera.1871! And all other 1870 entries still work fine. Of course, it need a never ending time to load such an amount of files.

Wow Bernard, nice to know the limit is somewhere north of there so I won’t be breaking through it anytime soon.

Hi,
I've reached 1600 entries in my scenery for my "modern" FS9. Since then, FS9 has thrown out a different scenery from the cfg for every additional scenery! That's why I think 1660 is the end of the line.

I had around the 1000 mark though I should say that a lot of them I only flew into once. I often picked an area to fly all around, particularly those in Canada and Alaska with gravel strips and spent quite some time flying all around that area in the DC-3 or DC-4. Have started to remove some but am wondering why some have well over the 1000 mark in their FS without any problems.

In the scenery.cfg file do all of the scenery entries have to be strictly numerical? Have found a number that are out of sequence but I'm loathe to touch anything in there.

Mine is not sequential either. I don’t bother.

I jump between 3 or 4 installs, so this happens to me sometime's. scenery that i know is there doesn't appear in the airport list. I just open scenery library, dont touch anything, just click on OK ,and restart sim and it should appear

There is a nice little program called Scenery Config Editor which allows you to declare, modify everything in the scenery.cfg WITHOUT being in FS9, like this no need to restart after saving. It can be found on Avsim.
