I've have taken a brief respite from swimming due to my work schedule and daily life, but slowly getting back to it. I've been swimming since fs2000, and I have no idea how to place static aircraft in airports. Not sure who it was, but someone did a screenshot of the Berlin Airlift with a/c lined up everywhere. It was a great shot. Can someone direct me to a good How To? Thanks. Hope everyone is well Allen

It’s changed over the years and sims. I used to use MDLtoBGL, but that’s been replaced by a different program, SAMM I’ve never used it but I hear it works OK. www.fs2000.org/2010/11/30/fs2004fsx-static-aircraft-mdl-maker/These days I just place an AI aircraft that flies once a week in the middle of the night. Simpler for me. And keep up those “swimming” lessons. 😁😁

SAMM creates a scenery bgl which you can position with Instant Scenery, so you can easily have rows. Depending on the original model SAMM gives options of doors open/closed, flaps up/down etc. The C-124's look particularly good with the nose doors open.

Some aircraft aren't suitable to be converted. Mostly I use Tom's suggested method as well.

Hi! I second Tom & Bernard´s AI aircraft method... That is the easiest method if you are placing static aircraft at an airport and they can work even at the outside-nearby area, say a static "at-level-monument" at a military base surrounding area.
