I've seen G-ALAL Ace freight color done by mgr, and is greatly done. And here is one I'm currently working on. Second L-749 repaint for me. And maybe first bare metal texture for me. British Overseas Airways Corporation L-749 G-ALAL 'Banbury' in 1940s color. Not that much of 1940s BOAC pictures were allowed, so i had to use my imaginations and few pictures. Windows of Left fuselage will need some more corrections. My source picture used on my repaint.(at BA homepage) It would be pleasure to see the BOAC birds in 1950s colors. Because there are more pictures and sources on them. But lack of my repaint skill It's hard for me to work on them.. Anyone interested in working on them? it's my request... ;D ;D regards.

Nice paint. Is it me or does the L749 have smaller cockpit windows then the bigger L1049G and L1649A ?

Yep, they are shorter by about 3 1/2 inches, as I remember. That gives a 21% smaller view through the windows. There's 7 inches less headroom in the cockpit too.
