Hi, Here's my third 749 repaint.. KNA and BOAC will be done soon. (on minor corrections) Air Korea's L-749A preserved at Jeongseok Airfield, Jeju Island, S. Korea. The aircraft is well known as MATS Connie (N494TW) Came across Pacific Ocean stop over at Anchorage, Cold bay, Hakodate Japan, and then to Incheon. Then flew to Gimhae for painting job at Korean Air Repaint facillity. The Last leg was the final flight for this aircraft, flew in this color. After the final landing in 2005, It never flew again. and two engines were donated to Aviodrome's L-749 "Flevoland". Below is the picture of the real aircraft And one more request here. Anyone have the upper wing picture of BOAC L-749 of 1940s color? I've done the other things but can't finish the work due to Reg. No on upper side of Main wing, Question is.. where was the reg.No. written? Anyone with any picture or diecast model pic, It would be great help. regards

Hi,
The BOAC L-049's had G-A on the left wing and HEM on the right wing, rather large. The L-749's in the later white top scheme had G-ANNT all on the right wing, and nothing on the left.
I would predict that they used the L-049 arrangement in the 1940's.
Hope this helps,

Safe to assume with BOAC, whatever was on the bottom was on the tops
Could be all across but that was discontinued fairly early on.
If it was all on bottom left it will be on top right.
