Cause that's the way it is in the existing VC... Other than that, it was enlarged to fit the hole that happened to be in the bitmap. I can make the one on the left bigger to match the other 3, if you like. Pretty easy...

Tom, as I mentioned...I am not getting the revised panel in the UAL DC-6B when I download it. I seem to be getting the original panel. I may be looking at the wrong screen. I am checking it in the 2D rather than the VC screen. Could this be my problem?

Hi, To get the widescreen panel you need to install the panel.cfg file found in the FS9/Aircraft/dc6pnlKMCC/Widescreen Monitors folder into your dc6pnlKMCC folder, replacing the original. Back up the original first! Details in the text file in the Widescreen Monitors folder. I guess we could discuss whether the wide screen version should be the default one, but I don't know how many people have a wide screen monitor. Hmm, how would I determine that? Hope this helps,

Could run a survey I guess to see who has wide screen compared to the regular. Personally, I use both. It would be interesting to know the ratio.
Thanks for the tip on getting the panel cfg data.

For some reason the four fuel tank levers do not match up with their respective slots in the pedestal. I must have done something wrong but cannot identify what it might be.
Sorry no screen shots.

Hi Chris,
Are you running the regular or wide screen panel?
Is your pedestal.bmp file in the dc6pnlKMCC folder dated 12/31/2009?
Do you have these lines in the panel.cfg file in the dc6pnlKMCC folder?
[Window07] file=Pedestal.bmp file_1024=Pedestal.bmp size_mm=644,400 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0 visible=0 ident=10010 render_3d_window=0 window_size= 0.480, 0.380 window_pos= 0.520, 0.620
gauge00=Z_DC6KMTG!THROTTLES, 45,0,276,255 gauge01=Z_DC6KM!MIXTURE, 131,284,115,115 gauge02=Z_DC6KMTG!TRIM_WHEEL, 17,186,38,196 gauge03=Z_DC6KM!GEAR, 277,292,70,100 gauge04=Z_DC6KM!CARB_HEAT_LEVERS, 378,284,115,115 gauge05=Z_DC6KM!FLAP_HANDLE, 564,279,79,120 gauge06=Z_DC6KM!PROP_MASTER, 321,4,45,245 gauge07=Z_DC6KMTG!PROP GOVERNOR LIGHTS, 366,95,135,50 gauge08=Z_DC6KM!PROP_SWITCHS, 368,140,140,40 gauge09=Z_DC6KMTG!CROSS FEED SELECT, 558,120,77,133 gauge10=Z_DC6KMTG!MARTIN_BAR_LITE, 392,203,12,11 gauge11=Z_DC6KMTG!MARTIN BAR, 376,42,178,214
(window_size and window_pos lines may be different for the wide screen panel).
Note particularly the throttle line.
Hope this helps,

Switching to the wide-screen panel was the solution. Many thanks Tom, I enjoy having to manage the fuel.

Glenn has found that the overhead is stretched in the wide screen panel. If you are using the wide screen panel, change this line in the panel.cfg file in the dc6pnlKMCC folder:
[Window03] file=Overhead.bmp file_1024=Overhead.bmp size_mm=800 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0 visible=0 ident=10003 window_size= 1.000, 0.570 <<<<<<< Change this to 0.570 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
It's still a little stretched, but any further down and it would cover the engine instruments. If you really want round gauges, you can increase the 0.570 more, or reduce the 1.000 instead.
This will be incorporated into the released version.
Hope this helps,

Hi all,
I've uploaded a new version that fixes the problem that the fuel levers were not initializing properly in the "normal screen" version. The wide screen panel has not changed in any way.
For both the DC-6 and DC-7 panels, when the plane is loaded the four fuel levers should be set to left/left/right/right main tanks (check the lever tool tips for that). If set to ALL upon panel load, then you have the old version.
Hope this helps,

Hi Tom,
Thanks for all the great updates! Your hard work is most appreciated.
Regarding the fix for the fuel tank levers, does a person have reinstall the whole package or could just a specific file be replaced or edited?
Thanks, Scott

I think all that would be required would be to use the new panel.cfg file in the package, found in the dc6pnlKMCC folder. This would be for the "normal screen" version. The wide screen panel has not be changed at all in the update AFAIK, but it would only involve using the panel.cfg file found in the Widescreen Monitors folder. You can check the fuel lever's tool tips as I describe above to know if it is a problem for you.
Hope this helps,
