Hello, Just wanted to show the latest repaint work currently under progress. Hmm... Cathay Pacific DC-6B in.. uhh... what can I say. in.. 60s colors? Only left side of fuselage is finished.. still need to work on right side and some minor errors. I was deeply impressed with this color scheme picture. So started my work... Regards.

Nice job.
What paint program are you using? If it's PSP, I can tell you how to reduce the height of the CATHAY PACIFIC lettering. That would make it closer to the picture. I do that all the time.
Hope this helps,

Hi, Thank you for your point Tom. Reduced size of Text and working on some details and Right Fuselage. Oh. and has anyone got a picture or drawings of CX stepcars or stairs of 1960s? I tried to find one on google and web but couldn't find one. If anyone can share one, It might be great help. Regards.

Nice job. The only pic I have (VR-HFG at Kai Tak) in that scheme shows a completely plain silver airstairs. Other plain airstairs are scattered about. My pic of the previous scheme (green, but with the Cathay Pacific Airways lettering instead of CATHAY PACIFIC over the windows) shows a silver airstairs with Cathay Pacific Airways lettering up the slanted sides of the unit, the capital letters red and the lower case letters black. Hope this helps,

I do some painting and use subtle guides from the aircraft to judge text size and height..Look at the doorway and you will see you need to adjust size again. In the real pic the text top line is above the door line. Beautiful job on fin decal,,really nice job overall.

Actually, the doorway on the FS model extends too far up above the cheat line. I didn't notice this when I made the opening door, sorry.

Tom// Thank you for the info. Silver based and the Red Black letters. Seems like similar to that of 50s colors. teisco // As Tom mentioned the door on FS model is higher than the original. You can compare it with the picture also. and thank you for all the kind word. Here's the final preview. Now need to rearrange the door positions and I think that's the end of this repaint work. As you can see I have placed the window markers on the fuselage as you can see on the picture. Because there is no reference for the right side of fuselage, I have followed the same as left side. And now.. Stairs. I did follow what Tom has told above. And it seems like the one similar to that of CX's 50s livery. I didn't want to leave the stairs blank. So filled it with this CX DC-6B with doors open besides his descendent CX330. Regards
