Yes nice footage, indeed. Great song in the background too! Something from the 1940-ties, I guess. Any clues of who the band/singer are ? sounds like: "I felt love with a capital U"... or something.

Paul, you are correct and the Band is Glenn Miller. Ray Eberle was his male singer and the group singers consisted of Paula Kelly and the Modernaires.

Brilliant we sold it to the Japanese.... The "too complex" argument never sold with me, as by the time of the sale, plans were underway for the more-complex Connie. I think it came down to politics more than anything...

Hi, good video of the dc4e it was a nice looking plane shame nobody wanted it ,United did some demonstration flights with it and it was able to take off on the power of two engines it could cruise at 200 mph and had a range of 2200 miles could carry 30 night passengers or up to 52 day passengers ,was powered by four 1450 pratt+whitney twin hornet radials ,,Edd
