Hi Guys: I was wondering if any of you have any experience buying software where you have had to go through SWREG? I have been trying to get a payware add-on loco for MSTS, and it has been a real pain. It seems like they're hiding the developer. Also by the time you add in PayPal, it been like dealing with the Marx Brothers....  I was just curious....... |

I have made several purchases thru SWREG and so far I have not had any problems. No trouble using either PayPal or credit cards.

I signed up with Pay-Pal with a credit card but PayPal never recognized my sign-up, although they did take the money from the credit card. I ran a check and they had more complaints with various agencies than any other company and numerous suits against them in small claims court.

I have heard many bad stories about Paypal. A mate of mine who was with me in a virtual squadron had his card emptied by pay pal, and had to figth hard to get it all back. I stay away from that company as far as i can.

Thanks for the fresh takes...... PayPal & I had a run-in about 5 years ago, then I stayed away. But at the urging of another friend, who said they cleaned-up their act. I decided to give them the shot again. I too like just dealing 1 on 1 with an Internet vendor, but so many times they want the protection that PayPal gives. It's funny that SWREG charged me $3.50 for their services and have yet to get any service from them.
