Hi guys,
Some of you may remember me as I was on the old forum for a short time before my wife had to undergo a bone marrow transplant for leukemia. Needless to say, that rocked our world and my recreational time on the computer was reduced to zero.
Well I'm happy to say that after 1 1/2 years my wife is still cancer free. Although still dealing with some of the effects from the transplant our lives are finally starting to get back to some form of normalcy. Enough at least that I was able to pull the Strat and Connie out of the hangar the last 2 days and get familiar with them again. It's like starting from scratch learning FS9 all over again but I did it once so it shouldn't take me too long I hope.
Jesse, it's good to hear your vision issue is improving. I was glad to see you were still here. And Tom...thanks for keeping the doors open so I had a place to come back to.

Man, what a blessing. Im sensitive to it because I attended the funeral yesterday of a former neighbors 18 year old son who died of Leukemia last week. God bless your family and keep them close and safe!!

I am glad your back, and with a positive outcome. I took care of My Father-in-Law, who had Leukemia, and I know what a struggle it can be to get free time. I was fortunate that I had some extra help around.
My Prayers are with You, and I hope that you have fun in this wonderful place Tom provides for us.

Welcome back George. Happy to know everything is looking up. Yep, I'm still here and I'll probably be the one to turn out the lights when it is time to pull the plug on flightsimming the old props. Like the old country song, "Will The Last Person To Leave Amarillo, Please Turn Out The Lights".
There have been a lot of improvements made to both the Strats and the Connies. I think you will like them.

Hi,
My best wishes to all of you. I know that real world problems often make this kind of thing seem trivial, but I'm glad to be here for when you need a break from those very problems. I know it provides *me* with an emotional outlet and link to other nice people, something all of us need now and then.
Welcome back,

Thanks guys. And that's where I am now, Tom, trying to get some of my sanity back. I even got my little T-29D out and flew it for a while. Now I just need to get everything updated with all the improvements you guys came up with in my absence.
