Hey guys while, I was playing engineer for a while I forgot what the fix was when the autopilot stops letting you make 1 degree HDG changes, or 100 ft ALT changes? Thanks in advance for any help refreshing my fried brain.... Stef

Reloading the plane sometimes works, although with some panels there's no way to get around it... Anyone else with a trick?

I have a couple of airplanes in which heading and VOR OBS course change increments (1-degree or 10-degree increments) depend on where you click the knob. Try imagining the circular knob divided into four 90-degree segments, and click on each segment to see if that helps.
I don't know if this would apply to autopilot altitude changes.

Is it a particular airplane or all of them ?? I know on some it's SHIFT key held while making adjustments produces the large changes...and no-SHIFT makes small adjustments.

I looked through the airplanes I thought had that characteristic, but couldn't find any. I replaced instruments and autopilots in many of them, so that may have eliminated that effect.
I replaced some of the older style a/p's with the one from the default Lear. That one let's you select altitudes and vertical speeds to +-100 ft(/sec), and headings and NAV courses to +-1 degree.
Sorry. Didn't mean to mislead anyone.

Bingo! That's it ...... I knew there was something about this particular autopilot, and that's it, the shift key..... Duh! The "Other" Stefan.... Actually I think there are at least 3 Stefan's here now...

One thing I do with airplanes that have these rather unusual features is adding them to the ref or Kb files so I can look them up on the fly on via the F10 key.
